Anthony Hurd is a freelance graphic designer and artist based in the progressive city of Austin. His work is riddled with landscapes of surreal jagged mountain ranges and emotional water typhoons intertwined together with clouds. These landscapes look as if they have been dematerialized from one place and rematerialized in another, merging them to create a whole new environment where we may exist. The touches of color on a predominately dark palette give his pieces the light one seeks to embrace when falling into life’s darkest corners. Anthony’s work often feels subdued and majestic not unlike the beauty of the Grand Canyon during twilight hours.
Anthony has exhibited in various galleries around the globe including at Milan Design Week in Milan, Italy and at Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles, California. His work has been featured on highly influential contemporary arts magazine Hi-Frutcose.
